ADAS Windshield Camera Calibration

Sophisticated Systems Require Experienced Professionals

What Is Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Windshield Camera Calibration?

Looking for mobile ADAS calibration services near you? Get your advanced driver assistance systems calibrated conveniently at your location. Keep your vehicle’s safety features in top condition with our mobile service.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) work in part using a camera that is mounted to the windshield. If your windshield is being replaced, it is a crucial requirement that the camera is calibrated properly and returned to its original OEM settings. Otherwise, the ADAS systems will not function properly.

Methods of Calibration

01.

Static Calibration

Static calibration is complex and must be performed in-store within a controlled environment. Our certified technicians calibrate the camera, among other things, using sophisticated electronics, including a laser, to obtain absolute precision according to the predetermined standards of the vehicle manufacturer.

02.

Dynamic Calibration

Dynamic calibration works with a portable electronic device that plugs directly into the vehicle's OBD II port. Calibration is performed according to the manufacturer's instructions such as driving at specific steady speed, specified distance and favorable weather conditions.

03.

Dual Calibration

Note that while most calibrations may be performed as a mobile service, some types of calibrations may only be performed in-shop.

Examples of ADAS Systems?

LKA

Brings the vehicle back into designated lines, in the event that the driver has not used a turn signal to indicate a lane change.

LDW

Notifies the driver with a sound and/or vibration if the vehicle is shifting lanes without signal.

FCA

Detects the distance between the driver’s vehicle and the vehicle in front and notifies the driver by visual and/or audio signal if they are following too close..

CMBS

Similar to the FCA, this system applies the brakes if the driver does not do so after receiving the warning of being too close to the vehicle in front of them.
